Crypto assets carry high risk

• Crypto-asset prices can change by very large amounts in a very short time; you may lose all of the money you invest.
• Crypto assets are subject to limited regulation in many countries; exchanges may go bankrupt, halt trading or restrict access to accounts.
• Markets are open 24/7; when liquidity is low, prices can move unexpectedly.

Leveraged (futures) trading

Leverage magnifies gains and losses. A small adverse price move can liquidate your position and you may lose your entire margin. Funding fees increase the cost of positions held for a long time.

Limits of backtest results

A backtest is a model-based estimate of how a strategy would have performed in the past; it does not show the result you will actually achieve.

• Past performance is not indicative of future results.
• Fee, slippage and fill assumptions do not fully reflect real conditions; real fills may be worse.
• Funding fees are not modeled for futures; liquidation is calculated with a simplified, conservative model.
• Historical data may be incomplete or wrong; delisted symbols and extraordinary market events affect results.
• Optimization can produce parameters that overfit the past. Out-of-sample testing reduces this risk but does not eliminate it.

Technical risks

The Service depends on internet connectivity, servers and third-party data providers. Data may be delayed, interrupted or wrong. The Service is in public beta and may contain errors.
