Getting started
Create an account, build your first strategy and backtest it in a few minutes.
Candlestat lets you build and test crypto trading strategies without writing code. The indicators you see on the chart are computed by the same functions in strategies and backtests, so what you see is what you test.
1. Create an account
Sign up on the registration page with an email and a password of at least 10 characters. Every new account starts with a Pro trial; when it ends, the account moves to the Free plan automatically. No payment details are required.
Verify your email address: trial reminders are only sent to verified addresses.
2. Look at the chart
In the Terminal, pick a symbol (e.g. BTCUSDT, futures) and a timeframe, and add a few indicators. Details: Terminal.
3. Build your first strategy
The fastest start is Strategies → Templates:
| Template | Style |
|---|---|
| EMA crossover | Trend following: EMA 20/50 cross, both directions |
| RSI mean reversion | Long only: RSI crosses above 30 while above EMA 200 |
| Donchian breakout | Turtle-style breakout of a 20-bar channel |
Open a template, change any value and save. Details: Strategy builder.
4. Run a backtest
The Backtest button in the editor opens the form: choose the market (spot or futures), symbols, date range, starting capital and leverage, then run. The report shows trades, the equity curve and metrics. Details: Backtest.
5. Optimize parameters
You can sweep a strategy's numbers (e.g. EMA period, stop percentage) over a range and test the best combinations on data they have not seen: Optimization.
